I am one of nine children born to share croppers in the back woods of South Carolina. I moved to North Carolina in my teen years and later met my husband, Ron, who was stationed at Fort Bragg. We married after his discharge and moved to his home, Detroit. Ron and I have two children and three grandchildren. Once our nest was empty, I began my educational journey and earned a degree in Biblical Studies. I also have a bachelor's degree in Christian Thought, a Master of Divinity, and Doctorate in Ministry.
Senior Adult Pastor
I have lived in Monroe all my life. Being raised in the Church of God, I decided to become a licensed minister within our denomination. In 1974, I married my husband, Ron, and we have two lovely daughters, Jennifer and Kelli, and four grandchildren. I became a member of Stewart Road at age 10 and have joyfully served our church in many different ministries. I am a current member of the choir, and I love to sing!

I was born in Forrest City, Arkansas and have had a passion for music since I was young. At 12 years old, I started taking piano lessons and at 14, I began playing the organ in church. I attended Lee University and sang in the campus choir there. During my time at Stewart Road as a minister of music, I have served as worship leader, orchestra director, and led the music department in more than 50 musical productions. I married my beautiful wife, Robin, in 1999 and we are blessed to have two children, Joel and Jasmine.
Matthew and Whitney Peavy, have a heart to reach people with the life-transforming message of Jesus. They believe in the next generation and value the wisdom and guidance of those that have gone before us. They have given their lives to the mission of the local church and have a vision to see all people know God, find freedom, discover their purpose and make a difference.
Jessica & Ryan Kazimer
We have been attending the church since 2002. We were married here at Stewart Road in 2004. Both of us were born and raised in Monroe. We have three daughters Addison, Rylee, and Maizee.
We have a passion to teach children about the love of Christ and how to worship through prayer and song. We continually pray for all of the children who attend the Stewart Road Kids program. We love seeing them week after week, hearing about their triumphs and praying for any needs. Our mission and greatest prayer, to plant the seed of Christ within all of the children of the world so that they can see the wonders of our Lord and accept him as their Savior. We love all of the kids in our ministry and strive for them to know they are loved by us and by Jesus.
We have been married since November 2008 and have three children, Judah, Myka, and Jaryn. We grew up in the Church of God and love ministering to the congregation on Sunday.
